Tuesday 1st August - Windsurf ***** - sunny periods.

Foil - 21.42 knot max (spot PB), 19.36 knot ave, 13.60 knot hour, 18.28 knot mile, 56.11 km., 15.73 knot alpha.

Starboard Freeride 150 and a Evolution Freeride foil with a Tushingham Storrm 6.5.

The wind continues to blow and today coming fom the west a good diection fo Levington so I head over fairly early arriving at the maina at 8.15 with lots of nice sunshine:) The foil was quickly set-up, sail choice was a problem as it did not look overly windy on the river so took a chance with my 6.5 which actually proved ideal for most of the two hour plus session:) After a slow start the wind arrived and I was soon having long runs down to Felixstowe docks, I think there might have been a touch of north in it which seems to chop the river up a little but still super fun whizzing past the many yachts out on the water, actually getting a spot PB max speed with some top gybing, in fact the only time I ended in the water was when a yacht took my wind as I passed ! I had to avoid a large ship with a tug heading to Ipswich and then on gybing near Loompit lake my UJ broke, luckily I carry a spare so I was soon up and sailing but with the wind going patchy I decided to call it a day and headed back to the van as it clouded over. Then home before visiting an old friend for a cuppa and cake:)
Although I had no weather pics today I was lucky to get one in todays local paper, the BIG pic in the August Suffolk Mag and the cover once again on the Spotlight on Felixstowe :)
